Experience our city’s rich cultural diversity during the Sharing Our Stories series, sponsored by Worthington Interfaith Neighbors. This program focuses on Mauritania, officially the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. Columbus is home to some 3,000 Mauritanians, many of whom came as refugees when the nation expelled about 70,000 black African Mauritanians in the late 1980s. Moussa Diakite, a member of Columbus' Mauritanian community, will discuss the country's history.
